NEW YORK—Officials are proposing new measures to protect the lives of unwanted newborns. Kings County District Attorney Charles J. Hynes, New York state Sen. Eric Adams and New York state Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries on Thursday announced new legislation that would require the city’s high schools to educate students on how to legally and anonymously abandon a newborn.
